Serving Roseburg

Roseburg — worth the drive

Roseburg is the county seat and a city of 23,000-odd people, so it has no shortage of shops, and we won't pretend M.D. Automotive is the closest one to you. It's about twelve miles north: up I-5 from the Garden Valley or Stewart Parkway exits, off at 136, and you're in Sutherlin.

What you get for the drive is the same one mechanic every time, a five-bay shop that has been in the same hands since 1990, and an honest check of whether your job is even a fit before you come — so the trip is never wasted. Plenty of Roseburg folks make the drive on purpose. We're not in Roseburg, but we're worth the drive from it.

Why drive twelve miles past other shops?

Because you get the same mechanic each visit, and because you find out before you set off whether the job suits a small shop. Nobody at the counter is guessing on Mark's behalf — the fit check happens first, in a few seconds, from wherever you are.

What's the drive actually like?

Nine to twelve miles of I-5 depending which Roseburg exit you start from, straight north, with no town driving in the middle. Old Highway 99 runs parallel through Winchester and Wilbur if you'd rather take the slow road.

Is it worth it for a small job?

Ask first and you'll get a straight answer — that's what the fit check is for. For an oil change alone it may well not be worth twelve miles, and we'd rather tell you that than have you drive up to hear it.

A fair drive away? That's the idea here — Mark works out of the one shop, so folks bring their vehicles to him. Just ask the assistant and you'll get the number either way.
