Winchester sits on the south bank of the North Umpqua, four miles north of Roseburg, and exit 129 is its way onto I-5. From there the shop is seven mileposts north — off at exit 136 and you're there, with no town driving in between.
That geography is the whole pitch. If you commute that stretch, M.D. Automotive is on your way rather than out of it: drop the car in the morning, pick it up on the way home. A lot of Winchester drivers would rather hand the keys to one mechanic who remembers their car than rotate through a chain.
Seven miles of freeway, exit to exit — on at 129, off at 136. Old Highway 99 runs the same way through Wilbur if you'd rather not get on I-5 for one junction's worth of driving.
Shop hours are weekdays 7am–4pm, so a northbound commute lands inside them at both ends. Tell the assistant the make, model and what it's doing before you set off — you'll know it's a fit before the car is out of your hands.
Foreign and domestic both, all years. The only makes Mark declines are BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Jaguar, and a Mini is welcome even though BMW owns the brand. On trucks, front-end work and clutches are the two jobs he passes on.
A fair drive away? Come on by anyway — Mark works out of the one shop, so folks bring their vehicles to him. Just ask the assistant and you'll get the number either way.
